Richard Louv - "Last Child in the Woods"

 

 

I had the great opportunity to speak with author Richard Louv thanks to Mary Warren from  Magee Marsh Wildlife Area and Rebecca Hinkle from the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Association!  They told me about the enlightening work Richard has been doing, moving parents and children to "go out doors" and discover our world ...before we become completely detached and lost.  I thought I appreciated my life outside wholeheartedly but now I understand and appreciate so much more!  Every parent, grandparent, teacher and child needs to read "The Last Child in The Woods" - take a listen!
